Christian Fessler

Christian is a Partner within the Electronic Trading practice at Options Group and is responsible for the firm’s US data science efforts. He joined OG in 2016 and has consulted the firm’s clients on alpha research and data science team buildouts by placing senior quants and data scientists across the buy side. Within this capacity, Christian places primarily front office professionals with a quantitative, technology, and data science focus including quantitative researchers, data scientists, quantitative developers, software engineers, and data engineers.

While his coverage is mostly US focused across all asset classes, products, and levels of experience, Christian also partners with Options Group’s global team on the execution of international mandates. Christian works closely with the firm’s research and strategy division – OGiQ – to deliver clients bespoke competitive intelligence and human capital advisory. In this regard, he and his le adership team have been instrumental in providing key insight on all issues relating to executive assessment, on-boarding, inclusion and diversity management. In addition to executive search, Christian and his team provide competitive intelligence management scans, management and cultural assessments, benchmarking and succession planning, market sentiment analysis, and compensation analytics and advisory.

Prior to Options Group, Christian worked at Credit Suisse as a Private Banking Summer Associate during the summer of his MBA program. Prior to his graduate studies, he spent a year working in executive search at a boutique search firm focusing on senior level searches within the quant space.

Christian received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management in 2013 and earned his MBA in Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions from the University of Miami in 2016 graduating as class valedictorian. In his free time Christian enjoys traveling internationally and attending live sporting events.
